The Dallas Black Fire Fighters Association (BFFA) is set to host the South Central Region of Black Firefighter Associations Conference. Established in 1980, the association aims to "Retain, Reclaim, and Recruit Black Firefighters," highlighting the need for support and engagement of Black talent within the firefighting community.
The conference will feature prominent speakers from various fire departments, including:

- Dominique Artis, Fire Chief of Dallas Fire-Rescue and Interim Chief of Public Safety for the City of Dallas
- Joel Baker, Fire Chief of Austin Fire Department
- Eddie Burns, retired Fire Chief of Dallas
- David Coble, Fire Chief of Tyler Fire Department
- Bobby Tatum, Chief of Keller Fire Department
The BFFA expressed gratitude to Interim Chief of Dallas Fire-Rescue, Justin Ball, for his continued support and commitment to the department's members.
The event aims to foster connection and collaboration among Black firefighters and will take place in Dallas. Participants are welcomed to enjoy the city during their visit.
