Dallas Seeks Feedback on $1.25 Billion Bond Usage

Staff Report / dallaslocal.org

In May 2024, residents of Dallas approved a $1.25 billion bond to fund various city projects including streets, storm drains, police facilities, and recreation centers. The City of Dallas is now seeking feedback from the community on their engagement in the bond process.

A survey has been launched to gather input on whether residents felt they had enough say in how the funds will be utilized and if they were adequately engaged throughout the process. The survey also aims to identify ways to improve communication regarding any future bond initiatives.

Residents can access the survey at dal.city/DallasBondEN. For questions, they can reach out to the Bond Office at BondOffice@Dallas.gov.

Additionally, the city is promoting the latest episode of "Tap In Dallas," which covers topics such as bond programs, Hispanic heritage, and National Night Out. This episode can be viewed at dal.city/TapInDallasEpisode6.
